I just received my Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. At UW-Madison, I studied Computer Architecture under the supervision of James E. Smith and Mikko H. Lipasti. My thesis is on Coarse-Grain Coherence Tracking (CGCT), a new technique for improving the performance and scalability of multiprocessor systems. I passed my final defense on May 2nd, deposited my thesis on June 13th, and started work at IBM on June 26th.
I received my MSEE in December of 2002 for analyzing the complexity of verifying memory coherence and consistency for shared-memory multiprocessor executions.
Before coming to Wisconsin in 2000, I received my BSEE and BSCompE at the University of Cincinnati. My undergraduate research included CMOS VLSI, Optical Computing, and Reconfigurable Computing under the supervision of Fred Beyette.
